Wisdom Gained in Chile, and Celebrating Spring Holidays

Welcome to April! We are now officially in Aries, the first sign in the Zodiac, corresponding with the March 20 Vernal Equinox.

This would be a good time to check things out with your local, trusted astrologer. Let them get you up to speed on all that’s happening from their astrological perspective, and see what resonates and works out.

This April has many religious holy days — Passover and Easter being the most well known here in the U.S. Many of these days reflect Spring celebrations and beginnings. Eggs are set at the table for Easter and Seder, and lamb and greens are served at both celebrations. Yes, whatever your religious persuasion, a table with lots of food to eat makes for a grand time.

I know that for many families during this holiday season, what is very important is enjoying the children who are smiling and having fun. Coloring Easter eggs, going on Easter hunts, etc. At Seders, the little ones get to sit next to grandma and ask four questions.

One theory holds that the symbol of the bunny rabbit on Easter stems from a pagan tradition, specifically the festival of “Eostre” — named after a goddess of fertility whose animal symbol was a bunny. Rabbits, known for their energetic breeding, have traditionally symbolized fertility.

I recently traveled to Chile. OK, you’ve heard me rave about Africa, still my favorite trip. But I now have to say that Chile comes close to tying Africa as my favorite destination. If Chile is not on your travel list, I would highly recommend that you add it, and don’t hesitate to go!

I know many of you have heard about Patagonia, a famous place in Chile (seen in the picture above). However, there are many other beautiful places there, including deserts, lakes, and mountains where the third largest glacier is.

Mother Earth (Mama Pacha, as the Chileans refer to her) is revered by the indigenous people who live in harmony with the Earth, and do all they can to preserve their traditions, land, and country. Chileans are very proud of their country, and are very willing to express their love of Mother Earth with others.

A shout-out to Almendia, who enlightened me regarding the Chilean land, history and culture. Lots I didn’t know. For instance, there is a huge German population that emigrated to Chile.

People travel from all over the world to get to Chile, and it’s very cool to interact with those fellow travelers. Mostly I met Brazilians and Argentinians, but there were also lots of Brits, Germans, Canadians and Asians, as well as many Americans.

Interestingly enough, although Chile is a Catholic country, while there I heard that many parents have left the Church, because they are disappointed with much of what’s going on within the Church itself. The holidays remain important in relationship to the family, but not the Church. I’m sure many of you can relate.

I’ve always been a big believer that sometimes we need to stretch out of our comfort zone, to better ourselves. Traveling to Chile, or to another country, or even another area in your own state, is one way of stretching out.

There are many ways to travel, and many wonderful companies that can arrange your adventure at a very reasonable rate. One thing I’ve noticed is that many retired teachers love to travel! They deserve it for all the services performed to help educate children.

Speaking of children, I’m doing a fundraiser on April 4th, for TEEG (Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment Group) — a small grassroots non-profit social service agency in North Grosvenordale, CT. They began in 1985 as a group of volunteers that joined together to meet the needs of “Three Rows”, the largest mill village in the North Grosvenordale section of Thompson. The community volunteers determined their focus was to create a safe place for children to play and to foster “self-help.” In 1988, TEEG was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. At TEEG, they have always believed that the quality of their service rests on two things: Compassion for those who seek their service, and accountability to those who fund their programs.

Ah yes, Spring is here! Enjoy this wonderful time of the year. And kids, it’s time for those seeds to be planted! Quite literally, and of course symbolically on other levels as well.

I look forward to seeing many of you at my upcoming events. Yes, it’s all about those we love.

How Hurricane Harvey, Lady Gaga, and Love Has Brought People Together

So . . . Are we feeling the “shortest” season fade away? No doubt that this summer was for many very challenging, especially for those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Whether Harvey was a natural event as the mainstream media states, or a geoengineered event as some experts have found, our hearts and support go out to all those who ended this summer on such a tragic note – loss, loss, and more loss.

The Northeast had the coolest August in like, forever, but we’re not complaining here, since so many places are hurting and need all the love, positive thoughts, and whatever help we can send, in any way.

I personally know people in Houston, about whom I happily can say are okay. Others I know in Louisiana weren’t as lucky.

I’m still waiting for my friends and family on the West Coast to give an update of what is going on there, as I write this. A very difficult and painful time. How do we put it all back together?

Of course, our prayers go out in the hope that family members and friends made it out alive. But if not, we know that they were met by their loved ones on the Other Side. And, believe it or not, tragedies like this are always harder on the folks who survive.

When a tragedy like Harvey strikes, people band together. There are so many wonderful warm and giving folks who step up to the challenge. This moment was no exception.

I can’t tell you if it’s in the air or whatever, but . . . this is a very difficult time to live in. So many people with whom I have come in contact over the last several months have expressed just that.

My thoughts and words previously expressed in other newsletters and in my books, I shall repeat: In the BIG scheme of things, the one constant is Love. Hang on to Love, and it will help you through these very rough times.

Remember that our loved ones in spirit had their own conflicts and challenges while here, and they faced all that. For many, facing up to those challenges made them stronger. We can learn from that.

I am often told wonderful stories about grandparents, great grandparents, aunts and uncles, etc., who endured so much but kept going on. For many, it was the love of their family, and/or other loved ones, that helped them persist.

Things can be replaced. People cannot. So when our loved ones cross over, there is no need to try and replace them. They are there for us, on the Other Side. Connect with them through dreams, feelings, and intuition. As I indicate at my events, every soul gets out alive.

On another note, a quick sharing from one of my 2017 summer highlights. I saw Lady Gaga at Boston’s Fenway Park, the oldest major league baseball park in America. Needless to say, Lady Gaga filled Fenway. She is an amazing talent.

There were many moments that stuck me of her gift of giving every part of herself, but what I didn’t know initially was who “Joanna” was.

I had learned that Lady Gaga’s song to Joanna was a tribute, and when Lady Gaga opened up in song about who Joanna was, I could feel the connection. Joanna was her aunt, her dad’s sister who died when Lady Gaga was three years old. That event impacted her whole life since her father sort of smothered her (they are Italians) because he was so devastated by his sister’s loss. This somehow translated to fear of losing his daughter.

Lady Gaga’s story is one of many similar experiences reflecting how physical loss of a loved one can impact our lives. This was as true for her just it is true for so many of us who have walked a similar path.

However, what was wonderful to me was that Lady Gaga decided to, and did, share her experience with the audience, many of whom, I am sure, totally understood.

This is one thing an effective artist can do, but discussing the death of a loved one is not something many artists dare to share.

Kudos to you Lady Gaga! And as far as the music was concerned, I sat among so many wonderful people who had such a great time. We all did hoop and holler!

One gentleman near me was around 75 years old and wearing a red “Joanna Tour” tee-shirt from Cape Cod. Boy, was he a fan! He knew everything about Lady Gaga and it was he who told me who Joanna was before Lady Gaga shared her story on stage. And when she did share, it was at that moment she asked, “Can you feel all the love in this room?”

Yes! We did! A night I will always remember.

Enjoy the rest of what summer is left. Technically, Autumn doesn’t come until late September.

“All things come to an end,” they say, but never the one thing that is most important: Love.

As far as my Fall travels, I’ll be going to some new places and returning to favorites. I’ll be in Atlanta, Asheville, and Tarrytown this September, and California in October; specifically, Sacramento, LA, and San Diego.

Looking forward as always to seeing some of you for the first time, and others again.

Happy 2016!

Happy New Year and welcome to 2016, where we enter a new cycle.

In numerology, 2016 is a number 9 year. The World Year Number (also called the Universal Year Number) is a single-digit number that represents the energy for everyone over a given year; 2016 is a 9 Year, because 2 + 0 + 1 + 6 = 9. The Number 9 promotes completion. It signals a time to wrap things up and bring them to a conclusion. The year 2016 is a time to consider what has not been working in your life, and to begin doing things a little differently. To be clear, this is the Universal year. For your own personal year, you need to account for the month and day of your birth. However we are all still affected by the Universal number.

According to Glynis McCants, the 9 World Year Number also promotes being more selfless. Realize that if we do not all work together, we will pay a heavy price. Mother Theresa, Ghandi, and Yogananda were all 9 Life Paths, and the ways in which they lived their lives are perfect examples of the selflessness to which I am referring.

With all this in mind, if you can volunteer to help others in this 9 World Year, it would be a very good idea. You will find that the more you do for others in this particular year, the happier you will be. I mentioned in my latest newsletter that we live longer, healthier, and more enriched lives when we do service. And we all have the perfect opportunity to do that right now.

I believe the recent Paris talks where representatives from around the world met to discuss climate change is a good way to begin a 9 year, by looking to give back to Mother Earth – she who feeds us, clothes us, and houses us.

I personally have always loved cycles, as I do seasons because it’s during these times that we become more conscious of ourselves and relect on our lives – spirituality, mentally and physically. By reflecting, we can see opportunities for changing ourselves in every aspect of our lives. We can look to see what works or doesn’t work for us, which of course includes interacting with loved ones in our life.

Now is the perfect time to reflect on last year, especially if you have to deal emotionally with the loss of a loved one. Was it a parent, partner, sibling, relative or friend, or a furry companion? Each one of these kinds of losses can affect us all differently, and are an instant reminder that life can change in a heartbeat. An appropriate approach when going into a 9 year.

Of course, with one door closes, a new door opens. This is especially true if you had to deal with a loved one through and illness, or having had to sell their house, or go through their things. In such situations, you are sure to come upon memories, some good, maybe some not . . . but memories nonetheless. This can be a life-changing event but perhaps in a wonderful way if it says to you, for example, “I’m not going to wait any longer to go for my dream job, or take that trip I’ve always to take, or save a bit more money, or do [whatever].” We would never move ahead or make important decisions in our lives if not faced with challenges. Positive change is always good for the soul, and for our soul’s growth, even if that change is ignited by the loss of a loved one.

A dear friend of mine who lost her husband of thirty years decided that after his death, she was going to do what they had planned together, a road trip across the country. They had dreamed of this upon his retirement which was still several years away when he passed, but she decided she was going to travel since it was really what she wanted to do anyway. It is now four months later, and she is only halfway though her journey, and loving every minute of Motel 6 life! Her kids think that she has lost her mind. But I think she finally found it by doing something she always wanted to do and never had the chance! She’s hinted she might even sell her house, and move, which would be one very big deal indeed! What a perfect example of how to begin a 9 year! And something to be grateful for.

On that note, go ahead and rock into 2016. Dream and do the dream, for that’s what dreams are for. And don’t forget is that dreams are the most common way our loved ones in spirit make contact.

On my Blog Talk Radio show on January 11th, I’m going to have on Emmanuel Dagher, talking about his his book: Easy, Breezy Prosperity. Are you looking for a boost in prosperity? Then don’t miss that show!

See you all in my travels: To the South (Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee), Chicago, California, and of course my beloved Northeast.

Rocking Into Fall!

Wow! Have we come rocking into Fall! A Blood Moon, eclipses, and to top it off, a visit from the Pope!

You know how I love synchronicities . . . and these early Fall events scream out that something special is going on. Synchronistic connections are wonderful energies that add just a bit to one’s life.

I know I’m not the only one who watched that incredible Blood Moon at the end of September, an event that happens only every 20 or 30+ years! You know that it had to be a huge event because not only was it all over the media, but also shown at football games (and you know how football fans don’t like to be distracted!). The TV people couldn’t help mention it because the Blood Moon hovered over the games . . . way way cool! And this was all going on around the time when Pope Francis was visiting New York City and Philadelphia. My favorite moment was when Pope Francis indicated that “You don’t have to believe in God to go to Heaven.” Gotta love that one!

I know many folks who were very affected by the Pope’s visit to the States. His arrival, presence, and words were so welcome, as was his stance to care and protect children. Of course, we may not agree with all of his words; after all, he is head of the Catholic Church which has its own rules and values. But aside from that, I must say that as I am a true Nature lover, I was so glad to hear the Pope honor Mother Earth with his comments about climate change. Someone in the media couldn’t resist commenting, “What does the Pope know about climate change? He should leave that up to the scientists.” But as it turned out that was a foot-in-the-mouth statement because the critic obviously didn’t know that the Pope has a degree in Science, Chemistry to be exact. Touché! And the Pope’s critic also failed to realize that we can all make our own decisions about how we should treat Mother Nature after reading what all the various scientists and pundits are saying lately? Indeed, “The times they are [once again] a-changin’.”

Naturally, change happens as we transition from one season to the next, but this is especially true in Autumn. Things will be different now from the way they were in Summer. For most, no more visits to the beach and lakes, no Summer vacations, and of course it’s back-to-school-time for the kids. For stay-at-home parents, it might just be the right time for you to take that cooking or painting class. So get out there and do it!

Also gotta love the Fall for the leaves turning colors, which reflects our need to transition mentally, emotionally, and of course physically to adapt to the changing weather and energies.

Recently I went hiking on a path and saw many families out there in Nature together, with parents carrying their precious little ones in backpacks! Some children of course were capable of walking along the trails, and it was great to see them without their iPads and iPhones, and simply experiencing Nature!

Nature! What a wonderful experience it can be to explore for you and your significant other, children, relatives, friends, or even just by yourself. The Nature experience tends to deepen from within. I will tell you that with children, unless they are too young, they will remember their family Nature outings quite fondly. “Daddy, remember when we climbed that big mountain?” And so forth. Great memories!

If you have a loved one with whom you have experienced Nature, but who has now crossed over, you know that the memories continue. No one can ever take that away from you. Such a treasure!

I’m feeling prompted to remind everyone that it’s important but difficult to remember the way a loved one was before they crossed over, or became terminally ill, or was involved in an accident leading to their passing. Know that our loved ones on the Other Side want us to remember them the way they were before things changed at the end. They want you to remember the good moments, the matters of the heart, which keep the Love between you and them alive, despite all the changes in the world.

As we welcome the beautiful Fall with all it’s radiant colors and changes, our lives also will change, for we are ALL affected by energetic happenings.

Speaking of happenings, since this is October, I’d be remiss to not mention that at the end of the month comes Halloween! Also, known as All Hallows’ Eve, All Saints Eve, or Day of the Dead. And it’s not just about pumpkins and apples, and trick-or-treats! In Mexico, and other countries, “Día de Muertos” (Day of the Dead) is the holiest day of year!

Coming up this Fall for me are lot of exciting events. I’ll be heading back to California for two appearances! Firstly, I will be with A.J. Barrera in Irvine on October 10. It’s important to note that we are offering a 20% discount off two tickets, and the first 20 people who register before Thursday, October 8 at 2:00 pm PST will be entered into a raffle for a special gift and meet-and-greet with me and A.J.! In addition, I have a special event, “Discover Gold,” in Cameron Park on October 17. This event also has a special discount of $30 off two tickets, so be sure to take advantage of that! I’ll also be doing an event sponsored by radio WQRC on Cape Cod in Massachusetts on October 27. And I will be be returning to my yearly visit to “Hope for the Holidays” by K92 in Roanoke, VA in November. And of course, returning to Cromwell, CT.

I want extend a special thank you to the folks in Nashville for their warm welcome on September 19! It felt so good being down South, and so, here I come Atlanta on November 14!

A jam-packed October for yours truly. Looking forward to seeing you!

Perspectives from Nature

Welcome to Fall! From my perspective, during the autumn equinox, there was a full moon rising quite brilliantly in the nighttime sky. I was in the desert at the time and this experience was especially thrilling. If you have not seen a full moon from the desert sands, put that experience on your list of things to do. Of course the sun is magnificent, but the beauty of the moon with its softer light, but equal beauty and boldness in its own right, always energizes me. And this last full moon was something special . . .

I was in the Sonoran desert because I had chosen to hold a workshop at Canyon Ranch Spa. I find that my workshops are always intensified when held in Nature.

At my events held in Nature, I find that it’s important to make those attending aware of the immediate surroundings, and as they stroll around the grounds, observe the animals that may appear. In a way, connecting to the animals – who are so sensitive – is reflective of the way our loved ones on the Other Side let us know of their presence.

My own walks in Nature at the desert retreat generated a number of interesting experiences which I shared with the group. Of special note, one interaction involved my encounter with a family of javelinas (also known as skunk pigs, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peccary). While in their presence, I walked calmly, breathed deeply, and for sure didn’t even think of running. As it turned out, this particularly family was quite present for many of the workshop participants who were taking their evening strolls. There was a special personal meaning attached to this experience for me and another woman in the group.

At the workshop, the discussion of javelinas really got the ball rolling. One woman talked about the thrill of seeing a bobcat (which are actually very shy animals). Another woman related her observation of a praying mantis, a species known to battle anything 10 times their own size if they are attacked of feel threatened. This discussion brought out the childhood history of a woman who shared how her brother – who had passed several years ago – had defended her more than once when she had been called names. See how the dots connect?

When I thought we had gotten thru discussing the zodiac of animals, one guy said, “Did you see all the vultures in the tree?” And I said, “Yes, they were huge.” I mentioned to him that vultures are really ugly, but they serve a very important function – they clean up all the garbage! He responded, “We need to send them to Washington!” Everyone agreed. Very funny indeed!

So yes, a wonderful workshop it was, and many connections were made. A lovely way to enter Fall.

While enjoying the colorful beauty of Fall, you can really use this time to think about how you can harvest some of the seeds sown back in the Spring. As you take in the foliage colors, and all of Nature is seemingly dancing, pay attention to whatever thoughts or feelings emerge about your own about life, the paths you’ve taken, the decisions you’ve made, and the journey you are on.

Yes, sometimes it’s hard to get ourselves moving, but never underestimate the power of resolving to “Just do it!” Move that energy, and it will move you. You’ll feel better, especially if you can do something that benefits someone else.

I was recently talking to a friend, and we were discussing people who had lost their jobs and/or their way of life. One of the things we hit on was that even if you’re looking and searching for that job or next direction, giving of your own energy to others – for example by visiting someone in the hospital or an elderly person nearby – is a wonderful way to shake up the energy fields and have that visit benefit you as well. Not only do generosity and altruism have their own rewards, you also never know when that redirected energy will spark an encounter and guide you on your path. Tap into that, and you may find yourself becoming empowered.

I know that for many of you, October is a time where there are lots of charity walks in honor of those who are losing or have lost loved ones to cancer. Members of many organizations donate their time and energy to this effort. I have always had tremendous respect for those who tirelessly follow their passions and donate their time for what they feel in their hearts is important. And there is no doubt that this kind of benevolent energy does in fact make a difference not only in the hearts of those here, but also to our loved ones on the Other Side. For those of you on this path, keep up the good work!

Enjoy this wonderful Fall! I look forward to connecting with my many of you in my autumn travels.

The “Little Things” are the Most Significant

Happy July! We are now officially in summer, the summer solstice having occurred on June 20, with a full moon to boot!

Somebody I know who is from the Northeast but now living in Florida was visiting up north and one evening came across some fireflies, also called lightning bugs where I grew up. She had totally forgotten about those magical little beings from her childhood and became reawakened to this wonder of Nature. I told her I get to see them every June and July from my porch, and each year still feel blessed by their presence.

The fireflies remind me that it’s the little things in life that often are most significant, and that we should cherish in our lives those precious moments, for life can change in an instant. Yes all the electronic gadgetry we have nowadays is great, but please do remember to take some time to enjoy the sunrise and sunset, a walk along the shore, a mountain hike, etc. All the better if you can share the experience with someone you care about, and discuss the magnificence that is Nature over good food and wine.

Of course, each season has its own beauty to experience, but being in the moment now means to recognize that it is July – a good time to play hooky from work, with the kids perhaps. Or just go outside and become a kid yourself.

This is also the month to sit outside, gaze upon the stars, and listen to the crickets. So relaxing! This is what a July day can hold for us.

Even New York City is much calmer than usual this time of year, although there are plenty of activities like concerts in Central Park, dancing on the piers along the Hudson, baseball and softball games galore, people flying kites, riding bikes, skating, or what have you. When the sun is shining in July, doing just about anything outdoors is great fun.

Before signing off, I wanted to give a personal “Thanks” for Terri Daniel once again out-doing herself for my third year at the Afterlife Awareness Conference. To be sure not my last. Terri asked me to return again next year! I met so many wonderful people at the conference I thank them all for letting me into their hearts! It was great meeting Eben Alexander and seeing Raymond Moody who will both be in Montreal for the 38th annual IIIHS (International Institute of Integral Human Sciences) conference. I will then be in Toronto, and will again be with Eben and Raymond at Omega. Gotta wonder: who is following whom? A fun-filled July for sure. I’m looking forward to meeting so many of you on my journey and your beloved ones in spirit!

By now we should all be over the winter time blues! So kids, get out there and smell the roses!

Honoring Fathers and Lessons from Machu Picchu

Welcome June! The month when there is so much going on. From weddings, to graduations, to vacations, days on the beach, weekends in the country, to name a few. And let’s not forget those special dads and father figures who touched our hearts and made a difference in our lives. For June 16th is Fathers Day!

In my work, I am forever reminded of how many sons and daughters, grandsons and granddaughters, love their dads so deeply regardless of whether their dad is the “blood father” or not. So many wonderful men pick up the for those who did not or could not step up to the plate. Kudos to all those second dads who remain present! I have said it before and will say it forever, the blood connection doesn’t make a man that special dad or granddad in a child’s life. It’s his love and how he shows his love that counts.

On CNN this week, I heard a commentator observe that no one ever says when they are about to die, “I’m sorry I didn’t work more.” That reminded me about all the men in the work place who want more time with their families but just can’t arrange it because keeping a job is so crucial.

For those who have dads on the Other Side, this Fathers Day, and always, I suggest that you send them your thoughts of love. They will hear you. And if you are tuned in, you will feel the connection.

As some of you know, I just got back from Peru, and had my first experience with the Incas. It was such a thrill to visit one of the new seven wonders of the world, Machu Picchu, perhaps the most familiar icon of Inca civilization.

The Incas built Machu Picchu around 1450, but were driven out a century later when the Spanish arrived. The existence of Machu Picchu was not revealed to the world until much later, by an American, Hiram Bingham III, of Yale University and National Geographic.

As we know, the ancient indigenous cultures strongly believed in the Afterlife, and shamans were held in high regard. The Incas were no exception.

What was most amazing to me was learning about the Incas’ advanced form of agriculture. Of course being an avid gardener and of farmer stock, I know the hard work farming requires, which is why I have such great respect for farmers. The Inca farmers were geniuses with their agricultural systems which included an amazing way of balancing all foods for every climate, knowing exactly what should be planted where and when. Needless to say, there were no GMO (genetically modified organisms) in their foods. No Monsanto to worry about! And the kicker, they had over three thousands types of potatoes!

The Incas may not have lived in the best houses but everyone ate! There were no food shortages.

If you are up for an adventure, Machu Picchu is a must. I promise, you won’t be sorry.

Or if you are in a mood to stay closer to home this summer, join me at one my special events. I’ll again be at the Third Afterlife Awareness Conference in St. Louis, a wonderful, wonderful gathering. I’ll be returning as well to Montreal and Toronto, and Omega in upstate New York for a special weekend at the end of July. Check the calendar on my website for details.

As always, I look forward to reconnecting with many of you, and hope to meet some new folks along the way.

Happy 2013!

Happy 2013 to all! We obviously we got through 12/21/12, despite some Mayan calendar interpretations predicting the end of the world. Obviously those predictions were wrong. It’s time to move forward. We now begin “a new cycle,” as astrologers, numerologists, and my fans well know.

Given that 2+0+1+3 = 6, 2013 is a 6 year-the number generally associated with family, service, responsibility, and work. To know how you may fit into this paradigm, consider meditating on this perspective, and/or doing some research, and/or checking with your guides and teachers who should be able to assist you on your journey into the new year. Also listen to the archives from my Blog Talk Radio show on January 7th. My guest was Bill Attride, a superb and very astute astrologer!

As most of you know, I was asked to be an honorary master of the winter solstice celebration at the Mayan Pyramid in Uxmal, Mexico. There were only a select few permitted to perform ceremony at the sacred pyramids. However, over 400 people attended, from all over the world. The very distinguished Masaru Emoto from Japan was there, and what a special honor it was for me to be at the ceremony with him. As the ceremony was in Spanish, translators came to relay the spoken words into Japanese, French, and English.

We arrived at the temple at 3am. The ceremony lasted four hours. What a beautiful experience! The focus of the ceremony was on Humanity, the union with Mother Earth, and how “All is One.”

During Mr. Emoto’s talk (interpreted into English by his son), he shared that when his grandson was born, he knew he had to do all he could to make the earth a better place. He noted how the power of water in all it’s forms is crucial to this change. With that in mind, he announced that he was donating 65,000 copies of his books to the people of Mexico, to share his message that he feels everyone needs to know. During Mr. Emoto’s speech, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

At the Mayan event, the idea of separateness was absent, and instead the emphasis was based on the oneness of Love. Of course, as I have been saying for some time at my seminars, galleries, and private sessions, no matter what the language, the message is Love.

Love is the key for connecting, even when the loss of a loved one is involved. For Love never dies.

Of course, there is no replacement for losing a loved one-ask any parent who has lost a child. From that moment on, our lives are never the same. However, we must learn to live with the loss, and the resulting new reality, until it is time for us to make our own transition, and we get to meet our loved ones again. That, my friends, I promise, is what will be.

As I’ve noted many times before, my mediumship work is about the living, those left here in the physical who need to go on and do what is necessary to continue, and honor our loved ones who are now in Spirit. They are fine, so don’t worry. And we will all experience that fineness once again, first-hand, once our journey here is ended.

Soon I’ll be going to California, Tucson, and Montreal-a first for me. Then to Florida, Denver, the Northwest, and of course my beloved Northeast. Check out my events page for details.

As always it’s my honor to connect or reconnect with each of you, this time in the New Year of 2013.

My thoughts of Love go out to all you. If I may suggest, embrace whatever you feel this coming year of 2013 is meant to be, for you.

Merry May

Welcome to the merry month of May!  Finally!  As I’ve acknowledged many times, May is my favorite month of the year.  This year probably more so than ever, since Mr. Old Man Winter so stubbornly refused to leave the Northeast, leaving so many of us here in my neck of the woods chilled to the bone by his frosty touch!  I hope it was warmer where you are.

I did manage to escape the Northeast for a little while recently, spending a refreshing week in London where the weather was surprisingly sunny every day.  I was there for all the pre-event celebrations surrounding the royal wedding, although I had to leave before the actually ceremony.  But trust me…those wedding vibes were all around for that entire week, wherever you went.  Energy is like that, emanating from its source and permeating everywhere.

This fairytale wedding seemed to be just what many of us needed-a blast of wonderful, positive, energy.  Thousands came to London just for the event, according to the newspaper reporters I talked to.  This festive occasion was such a welcome relief from all the negative news we are inundated with daily, if not hourly.  Mostly we never hear of all the wonderful things that are going on in the world, or all the wonderful people who are performing good deeds, day in and day out.  But there was no missing the royal wedding!

Before going to England, I had the distinct privilege and honor of working in Den Haag, Holland, which is about forty-five minutes outside of Amsterdam.  The folks there hadn’t been exposed to many American mediums, and none from New York City.  Which helped explain why they were so anxious to witness and understand what we spiritually-minded folks here in the States often take for granted.

The Den Haag audience was comprised of reserved people, who were very polite, and who wholeheartedly embraced me as I connected them to their loved ones in Spirit.  The Dutch, as you may know, speak English for the most part, so I was able to effectively impart a good deal of spiritual information, which they easily grasped and absorbed.  Very wonderful for me to be able to help them make the leap and connection to the Other Side, and have them realize that our loved ones there are always in our hearts, ready to connect with us if and when we remain open.  Indeed, that connection of Love is still the most powerful and wonderful force in the Universe, no matter where you go.

Love can touch everyone, which was reflected during the wedding of Wills and Kate.  The way this magical couple radiated, everyone could feel their love for one another.  Which is akin to what happens in a room when someone is receiving a message from a loved one in Spirit.  You can feel that connection of Love even if the message is not for you-as many have experienced.

Reminder: This Sunday May 8 is  “Mothers Day.”  To all those who care for the world and touch so many lives,  I applaud you!  And that includes not only those women who have children, but all female caretakers of every stripe, everywhere.

I will be doing a Mothers Day tribute event sponsored by WXLO on Friday May 6th in Worcester Massachusetts.  This is my third year and if the first two are any guide, there will be a room full of Love and connection.  If you can’t be there in person, there is the magic of internet streaming-a whole new way we can all be part of the experience of Love. Check out my website (www.SuzaneNorthrop.com) for the details and then please tune in and share in the celebration of “mothers” everywhere-on this plane and in Spirit.

So…Happy Month of May.  Get outside and smell the flowers.  Spring is here, finally!  Take a walk in the woods, by the sea, or in a park.  Experience Nature, another form of Love that can open your mind and heart.
